‘I was experiencing an absolute democracy and freedom when reading The Irish Times local election tally report on Sunday afternoon. I was sure, nothing could beat the 900 votes from the first counting…’ the records were replaced with the new ones after 6pm, and I would really like Pat Leahy to explain how such mistake may happen in the publishers workflow. A group of music artists come together tonight Saturday 13th October to show their support for the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins in the upcoming election. The line-up of presidential support includes Mary Coughlan, Alan Connor, Steve Wickham, Don Stiffe, Frank Kilkelly, Michelle Lally, Corina Carrick, members of the Stunning, Sean Smyth, Sean Regan, Cora Smyth, Breda Smyth, Eleanor Shanley, Tommy and Louise McCarthy and surprise guests.     Tickets are €20 or €12 for student/unwaged, with proceeds going towards Michael D.
