It’s International Women’s Day 2018 and it was so exciting to watch the March for Repeal of the 8th Amendment today from the roof of Williamstreet in Galway city centre. PRO Choice Galway gathered couple of hundreds supporters of repeal on the Eyre Square, from there they took the March trough the city, to create even more awareness. Works are to be carried out on the worst areas of Shop Street next year ahead of a major city centre renovation project planned for 2019. According to Galway Bay FM News, officials at this week’s meeting of the City Council, admitted that the poor condition of the surface needs immediate attention and cannot wait another year.
