Galway Fringe Festival 2019 Started Today | What’s the Craic?

The group Cúl An Tí presents sculptures, paintings, and installations responding to the theme Rituals of the Shore today in An Dánlann-University Art Gallery, The Quadrangle NUI Galway. This exhibition draws on a rich seam of maritime tradition and the contemporary experiences of life on the coast, charting a complex and changing relationship with the shore. This work responds to a series of community talks examining the coastal heritage and marine biology of the Connemara Gaeltacht.   Dublin born artist Éadaín bringing her new captivating exhibition ‘EXITUS – THE ODYSSEY OF A HARE to Galway this February 9th into the Kenny Gallery, in Liosban Galway. The collection of paintings called ‘Exitus’ is the artist’s long term project tracing the journey of an emblematic hare. The imagery is full of symbolism, and each piece of the collection creates an attractive visual element when standing on its own. Using mixed media reveal an artist at the height of her powers.
