The Kilfenora Ceili Band Concert for The Children’s Language Development

The Band 2009 was the centenary celebration of the formation of the Kilfenora band. One Horse Pony from Whelans to Roisín Dubh

‘One Horse Pony’ have supported Blind Boys of Alabama, Jack L and Jerry Fish. The original acoustic blues formation from Cork is heading to Roisín Dubh,for their first gig in Galway, this February 27th. Last year, has Pony topped the iTunes Blues chart with our single ‘Staring Blues’. We performed at several major Irish festivals, including Electric Picnic and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, as well as performing in some of Ireland’s top venues, including our monthly residency in Whelans, Dublin. €1500 for Simon, success of Solaris and Pearla na Mara Fundraiser

A total of €1,500 was raised at the recent ‘Solaris Winter Warmer’ fundraiser in aid of Galway Simon Community to help those in need over the cold winter months. Guests were treated to a night of fantastic entertainment and delicious food organised by Solaris Tea, and hosted by Pearla na Mara restaurants, and the whole night was a great success. The evening began with fabulous wines and tea inspired cocktails, donated by Thomas Woodberrys, Pearla na Mara, and Solaris Tea, and with delicious canapes provided by Pearla na Mara with ingredients donated from suppliers such as Mc Geoughs Connemara Fine Foods, Connemara Smokehouse, Galway Goat Farm, and Killeen Cheese. NUI Galway India Soc’s Grand Celebration of Diwali – The Indian Festival of Lights

NUI Galway’s India Soc in association with the Indian Cultural and Sports Society (ICSC) Galway and with support from the University, celebrated Diwali – the Indian Festival of Lights on 14 November 2015, Saturday.
