Pope Francis is in Ireland for couple of hours. On board the papal plane
#PopeFrancis told journalists it ‘touched his heart’ to return to Ireland after 38 years, when he came to practise English on the island of St. Patrick for 3 months. Head of the catholic church is having busy schedule of his stay in Ireland this time. After a day in Dublin he is flying to Knock tomorrow morning to meet pilgrims in the sphere of apparition of Virgin Mary and pray with them shortly before he return to capital.
On Sunday 26 August 2018 will Pope Francis make a pilgrimage to Knock as part of World Meeting of Families 2018 programme. The Holy Father will arrive at Knock Shrine at 9.45am on Sunday 26 August to pray for families from around the world and the fruits of WMOF2018. He will circuit in the pope mobile and pray the Angelus at the Apparition Chapel before departing from Knock Shrine at 11.15am. The Apparition at Knock was family apparition incorporating Our Lady, Saint Joseph, Jesus as the Lamb of God, and John as representing the extended family.
In 1879 it was witnessed that Blessed Virgin Mary acompaigned by St. Joseph, St. John and Jesus Christ.
