Tá ríméad ar An Taibhdhearc a fhógairt go mbeidh Kíla linn ar an 23 Márta 2018 chun a Leiriú Leanaí a chur ar stáitse.

Le roinnt mhaith blianta anois, tá Kíla ag déanamh léiriú leanaí in amharclanna ar fud na tíre, ar nós amharclann leanaí The Ark in mBÁC, an féile leanaí  Bualadh Bos sa   Lime Tree i Luimneach, sa Mermaid i mBré, sa Model i Sligeach, an RCC i Leitir Cheanainn agus an Townhall Theatre i nGailimh.

Don uair a chloig a bhíonn siad ar an ardán, mealltar na leanaí chun páirt a ghlacadh sa cheol tré fhuaimrian farraige a chruthú, tré mhéara a speachadh, tré bhualadh bos, tré rince agus fiú tré fhuaimmeanna ainmhí a dhéanamh in éindí leis an gceol.

Cuirtear aoibhneas ar na páistí nuair thrialann na ceolteoirí a lámha a snaidhmiú chun trí fheadóg a chéile a sheinnt nó nuair a thugann an fidléir agus an seinnteoir mandoilín faoin rud céanna.

Mar chuid sonrach den léiriú, seineann an bhuíon trí phíosa ceoil ó fhuaimrian Amhrán na Mara, an spionnscannán ilghradamtha ar aimníoch d’Oscar, a chumadar ceol dhó.  Bíonn na leanaí faoi dhraíocht nuair a chíonn siad ceol á sheinnt beo le scannán beochana chomh álainn leis seo.

Beidh seó trí mheán na Gaeilge ar siúl ar 11:00 agus seó trí mheán an Bhéarla ar siúl ar 13:00.

Chun tuilleadh eolais, nó ticéid don léiriú seo a fháil, is féidir fios a chur ar 091 562024. Tá costas €10 ar thicéad do pháiste agus saorchead isteach do na múinteoirí.

Ná bíodh drogall oraibh teagmháil a dhéanamh linn má tá ceist ar bith agaibh. Ag súil go mór le sibh a fheiceáil!

Le mór-bhuíochas,

Foireann na Taibhdheirce

An Taibhdhearc are delighted to announce that Kíla will be bringing their children’s show to our stage on March 23rd, 2018.

For quite a number of years, Kíla have been presenting their children’s show in theatres throughout the country, most notably in the children’s theatre The Ark in Dublin, the Bualadh Bos children’s festival in Limerick’s Lime Tree, in Mermaid in Bray, the Model in Sligo, the RCC in Letterkenny and the Townhall Theatre in Galway.

Always jam packed, this hour long show has the children interacting with the music from the very start. Front man Rossa asks them to create an ocean soundscape for the opening melody, and as the show proceeds they clap along, dance along and even do animal and popping noises to the music.

The children love it when the band do their musical instrument acrobatics, where three musicians intertwine their hands and try to play each other’s whistles or when the fiddle and mandolin player attempt the same.

A special part of the show is where they play three pieces from the multi award-winning and Oscar nominated animation Song of the Sea, for which they composed music. Children are entranced to see the music being performed live to this beautifully animated film.

Kíla’s Irish language performance will take place at 11:00 and through English at 13:00.

For further information, or indeed tickets for this production, you may call the box office on 091-562024.  Tickets cost €10 for children, and teachers go free.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch. Looking forward to seeing you there!
