Storm Henry, in the UK’s eighth named storm of the season, is crossing the far north of west of Ireland tonight.

Gales will develop widely, turning severe in the north, where some disruption is likely from this afternoon until Tuesday morning.

Damaging 70 to 80mph gusts are likely across Scotland and northwest Ireland, with 90mph possible across the Hebrides tonight.
